Take a Road Trip with Your Friends to a Wellness Retreat
Let’s Pause the Frantic Pace
What do you do to recharge after a long day, week, or (heaven forbid) year? Or wait. Do you take the time to recharge? Sydney, Mallory, Charlie and I are learning how to do this. We all are in constant motion, going from one thing to the next, with so little time left over. I’m thinking you and your girlfriends aren’t much different?
Mallory and Sydney live in Northern California where they are battling the fires. They are in great need of a break and some relaxation.
Charlie is in Colorado and not only battling the fires, but oddly enduring the cold. It went from 90° to 34° in one day. She is very deserving of some down time as well.
I’m OK here in Minnesota, but I’m always up for some much needed chill time.
It’s time to take time for you. You deserve, no, need to! Think of last Thursday’s post. When you take time to show yourself some love and recharge, you will have the energy to show the love to others. It’s an awesome ripple effect!
Here are some top-notch places to recharge with your worn-out besties:
- Hippocrates Health Institute, West Palm Beach, FL (this is one of my all-time dreams)
A tropical 50-acre setting where a team of doctors and specialists guide you to a holistic way to better health. You’ll learn how to take control of your life and move towards an existence free from premature aging, disease, and needless pain.
- The Ranch at Rock Creek, Philipsburg, MT
This is a full-blown wellness center that offers year-round wilderness activities and other specialized programs like retreats, meditation, yoga, and forest bathing.
- Cal-a-Vie Health Spa, Vista, CA
Everything you expect from a wellness facility, plus WellnessFX, a blood test that measures your cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal, and nutritional health. In addition, this is the first destination spa in the U.S. to incorporate MUSE, a brain-sensing headband that helps you focus on meditation through brain-wave analysis.
Let’s go! Or rather, once you get to any of those stress-free destinations, take a seat and stay.
